FOLLOW ME TO READ

Hi!! My name is Natalie Wall and I just graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2020 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am pursuing my masters in Reading Education at App State and will graduate this May of 2021. I absolutely love Boone and the mountains that I just had to stay another year! I enjoy hanging out with my friends, sunsets, and being anywhere near the water!
I struggled in school when it came to reading. I never enjoyed it until middle school when I found a series that I really liked. I wanted to pursue my masters in reading education to help students find that love for reading early on.
Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a teacher. I can't explain how excited I am to finally have my own classroom and students to love on in the fall. My passion is helping children excel in learning. I want every child to feel loved and accepted in my classroom. My goal is for my students to fall in love with reading and continue that passion for the rest of their lives.
NAME STORY
My first name is Natalie but my middle name is my favorite, Marshall. I was named after my Grandpa Marshall who was my Mom's father. Unfortunately, he passed away when my Mom was 18 in a boating accident. My Mom grew up in Wilmington at the beach. Grandpa Marshall loved anything to do with water. He spent a lot of his life on a boat fishing. He was a Godly man who loved his family. My Mom tells me that I have some of the same qualities as mt Grandpa Marshall. I enjoy fishing, being on a boat, and the ocean. I could sit on a beach ALL day and be content. Whenever I'm at the beach, I feel closer to Grandpa Marshall. I wish I could have met him because I think we would have been best friends. I am proud of my middle name and to be named after Grandpa Marshall. I can't wait to pass my middle name onto my kids.
